<br /> AN ORDINANCE relating and providing for the sale of surplus real property
<br /> from land secured by the City of Everett for its municipal water supply
<br /> pipe line in the NW4 of Section 13, Township 28 North, Range 6 East,
<br /> W.M., Snohomish County, Washington, and for the execution of the con-
<br /> veyance thereof.
<br /> WHEREAS, the United States of America, Department of the Interior, acting
<br /> by and through Bonneville Power Administrator has requested the City of
<br /> Everett for fee simple title to a transmission line right-of-way over and
<br /> upon the real estate hereinafter described belonging to the City; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it appears that the property* desired by the United States of
<br /> America is not needed by the City for its municipal water supply system,
<br /> and the United States of America is willing that the City shall reserve
<br /> all rights in said property not needed by the United States of America,
<br /> in .connection with the construction, operation, and maintenance of
<br /> , electric power transmission. lines.
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS:.
<br /> Section 1. That for and in consideration of the payment of the sum
<br /> of $900.00 by the United. States of America to the City of Everett, as here-
<br /> inafter provided, the City of Everett, hereinafter referred to as the "City,"
<br /> hereby grants, bargains, sells and conveys to the United States of America
<br /> and its assigns, hereinafter referred to as the "Grantee," the following
<br /> described real estate situated in the County of Snohomish, State of Washing-
<br /> ton, to-wit:
<br /> That portion of the north 400 feet of the east 500 feet of the
<br /> SWgNW* of Section 13 and that portion of that part of the NW4Nff of
<br /> Section 13, described as;. Beginning at the southwest corner of said
<br /> NW NW2; thence N. 0° 16' W. 658.8 feet; thence S. 87° 49' 15" E.
<br /> 1314.7 feet to the east line of said NW NW*; thence S. 0° 10' 30" E.
<br /> 666.3 feet to the southeast corner of said NW*NW*; thence Westerly along
<br /> the south line of said NUUgNWl to the point of beginning, and all being
<br /> in Township 28 North, Range 6 East of the Willamette Meridian, Snohomish
<br /> County, Washington, which lies within a strip of land 225 feet in width,
<br /> the boundaries of said strip lying 162.5 feet distant from, on the
<br /> northerly side of, and 62.5 feet distant from, on the southerly side of,
<br /> and parallel to the survey line of the Grand Coulee-Snohomish transmission
<br /> line, Foster Creek-Snohomish Section, as now located and staked on the
<br /> ground over, across, upon, and/or adjacent to the above described
<br /> property, said survey line being particularly described as follows:-
<br /> Beginning at survey station 7526 + 56.4 a point on the east line of
<br /> Section 13, Township 28 North, Range 6 East, Willamette Meridian, said
<br /> point being S. 1° 41' E. a distance of 889.0 feet from the quarter section
<br /> corner on the east line of said Section 13, thence N. 59° 49' W. a distance
<br /> of 1936.3 feet to survey station 7545 + 92.7 a point on the east and west
<br /> quarter section line of said Section 13, said point being N. 87° 03' W. a
<br /> distance of 1649.8 feet from the quarter section corner on the east line of
<br /> said Section 13; thence continuing N. 59° 49' W. a distance of 4162.2 feet
<br /> to survey station 7587 + 54..9 a point on the west line of said Section 13,
<br /> said point being S. 0° 54' E. a distance of 738.8 feet from the northwest
<br /> corner of said Section 13.
