IA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3227 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 11 of Ordinance No. 869 of <br /> the City of Everett, entitled: <br /> "An Ordinance relating to the removal of garbage, refuse, <br /> ashes, filth, and other substances in the City of Everett, <br /> relating to the licensing of city scavengers, prescribing <br /> the powers and duties of such scavengers, regulating the <br /> amount of charges to be made by them for scavenger work, <br /> prescribing the punishment for the violation thereof and <br /> repealing Ordinances No. 33, No. 44 and No. 299 of the <br /> City of Everett." <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 11 of Ordinance No. 869 of the <br /> City of Everett be amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 11: The City Scavenger shall receive no <br /> compensation from the City of yverett for any services per- <br /> formed for any person, firm or corporation other than the City. <br /> Such compensation shall be collected by them from the person or <br /> persons, firm or corporation for whom the work shall have been <br /> performed. <br /> The schedule of charges to be made by the City <br /> Scavenger on and after March 1, 1949, shall be as follows: <br /> (a) Residences. yhere garbage cans are located <br /> accessibly to curb, street or alley from which collection is to <br /> be made one can per week 8551 per month; for each additional can <br /> over one can per week the charge shall be 501 per month. Where <br /> garbage cans are not located accessibly a reasonable additional <br /> charge shall be made. Persons making payment for such services <br /> for three months in advance shall receive a reduction from said <br /> rates of ten percent. <br /> (b) The charge for collecting garbage and refuse from <br /> hotels, restaurants, boarding houses, eating places, apartment <br /> houses, hospitals and business places shall be as follows: <br /> One garbage can per week w1.25 per month; over one <br /> can 751 per can per month for each additional can up to six cans <br /> per week; for additional cans over six cans per week a charge of <br /> 10 per can shall be made. <br /> (c) The following charges shall be made for the removal <br /> and disposal of dead animals: <br /> A cat, dog or other small animal 81.00 per animal. <br /> A horse, cow or other large animal yp6.00 per animal. <br /> All payments for such services shall be in advance. <br /> - 1 - <br />
