<br /> Section 1 That a proposed amendment to bectio_n 39 of the
<br /> Charter of Everett, rel_atinc; to the calling; for Ads for the ;: urchasel

<br /> s to the qualified electors of Everett at a special municipal election ;

<br /> Section 2 That Section 39 of the Charter:. of Everett be

<br /> Section 34 : In all cases of work to be done by contract ,
<br /> or the rurchase of property of any kind, the Council shell advertise
<br /> for bids in the Cit, official newspaper, unless the cost thereof
<br /> shall not exceed ,351i0.00, and unless the Couu.nci 1, by resolution,
<br /> shall declare an em: rmency to exist. `;hen such probable expenditure
<br /> sha 11 exceed ;500.0�� , andy no emergency shall be declared to exist,
<br /> the Council_ shall pi blish notice in two issues of the City official
<br /> newspaper. The Cou,icil may reject any and all bids , and nothing con-1
<br /> tained herein sh 11 prevent the City,- from contracting for the doing 1
