ORDINANCE NO. 3246. AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of the following described property in the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Washington, to-wit: Ten (10) feet on each side of Hawthorne Street from the Southerly margin of State Road No. 1 to the Westerly property line of Walnut Street. WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the private property abutting upon the portion of street above described have duly filed their petition with the City Council of Everett, praying for the vacation of said portion of street; and WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Everett did, by resolution duly adopted, fix the 20th day of May, 1949 at 10:00 o 'clock A.M. of said day for the hearing and determination of said petition; and WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of said hearing and the determination of said petition has been given by the City Clerk in the manner required by law; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing no persons appeared or made objections to the vacating of the herein described portion of street and no objections of any kind were made to the granting of said petition; and WHEREAS, it now appearing to the City Council that said petition should be granted and said Council does hereby determine to vacate the above described property, NOW, THEREFORE, TH14: CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 6 Section 1: That the property in the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Washington, described as follows, to-wit: f Ten (10) feet on each side of Hawthorne Street from the Southerly margin of State Road No. 1 to thlo Westerly property line of Walnut Street be, and the same is hereby vacated, and the title to the land in said; portion of street, above described, is hereby declared to vest in the abutting property owners as provided by law. i MAYOR ATTEST: C TY C `RK 91/ .A4 Passed: lay 31, 1949. rublished: U, 1, 1949.
