ORDINANCE NO. 3248. AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 32143 of the Uity of Everett, which ordinance is entitled as follows: "An Ordinance submitting to the qualified electors of Everett a proposed amendment to Section 39 of the Charter of Everett, relating to the calling for bids for the purchase of property in excess of Five hundred ( 500.00) Dollars, at a municipal election to be held on the 6th day of August, 1949, and requesting the Election Board of Snohomish County, Washington to call said election at said time for said purpose. " and by adding Section 5 thereto, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVEhETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 4 of Ordinance No. ,, 2 4e.3 of the City of Everett be, and it is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 4: That the Governing Board of the City of Everett hereby declares an emergency to exist and does hereby call a special election to be held on the0,6, day of August, 1949 for submission to the electors of the City of Everett for their determination the proposition set forth in Sections 1, 2 and 3 of Ordinance No. _.9g4!3 . Section 2: 'That Section 5 is hereby added to Ordinance do. 3243 of the City of Everett and shall provide as follows: Section 5: That ordinance No. 3g43 of the City of Everett was passed on the 1,.,4 day of 79'1 , 1949 and that since its passage the election laws of the State of Washington have been revised providing for change in the method of election, and that it is necessary that this ordinance be immediately adopted in order to comply with the date set for election.
