Gartiamb: <br /> As you are aware, the City's contractor, Steve's Plumbing, inspected. your piumbing and drainage <br /> facilities to determine if a back�vater valve is appropriate for your property. Their findings indicate <br /> that installing a bacMvater vaive on your property���ould be beneficial. Please review the <br /> enclosed report. <br /> Previousiy, you signed the Backwater Valve Authorization Form authorizing the City to install a <br /> backvaater valve at your property. Based on the inspection report, eve are proceeding with the <br /> installation. The Ci 's contr��:tor, Combined Construction, will be contactingyou in <br /> Mav to schedule the v�or<, This�vill require entry into the building at the ahove address. <br /> The City will provide you on•site training on the operalion and maintenance of the backwater <br /> valve. Mainlenance of the valve and the plumbing, sewer, and drainage on your property are <br /> your responsibility. The inspection identified additional site drainage and piumbing d?ficiencies in <br /> your private drainage and plumbing system. These include: <br /> • Four downspouts all dischar9e to the ground, and should be monitored that they drain <br /> away from the perimeter of the house and do not impad any properlies. <br /> • The existing dean out access needs to be replaced with a true 3"cover, to help ensure <br /> no sewer 9ases or discharges entcr the house from this location. <br /> These deficiencies are your responsibility to address, as you desire.
