Depth of side sewer 10ft from house: 4' 6" Depth
Any additional comments:
• Roof Vent was used as access to camera sewer system.
• Placement of Back Water valve in side yard is best next to house marked
by flag
• Sewer line is old made of concrete.
Problems Identified
1) House side sewer is not protected by a backwater valve. During sewer surcharge
events sewer flows could back up out of below ground fixtures.
Solution: Install backwater valve at location specified on attached sewer and drainage
sketch.
2) Broken and separated and clogged gutter line under house in front.
Downspout routed below ground
Solution:
Disconnect both downspout lines that are routed underground and place splash blocks
to keep water 3 feet minimum from house.
Or
Dig up downspout line and replace with new pipe.
Downspout line could not be viewed with camera because of dirt roots and breaks.
3) (OPTIONAL IMPROVEMENT) No cleanout installed on side sewer
Solution: Install Cleanout at time that backwater valve is installed
