Soriano <br /> 405 Wetmore <br /> Everett,WA 98201 <br /> 425 259 2303 or Daughter's cell 425 501 5462 <br /> September 10,2013 <br /> Office of the City Clerk <br /> City of Everett <br /> 2930 Wetmore Ave., Ste. 1-A <br /> Everett,WA 98201 <br /> This letter is an attachment to the Tort Claim describing some of the <br /> expenses that have and will incur in order to get my basement located at 405 <br /> Wetmore Ave.,Everett, WA, 98201 restored to a safe, livable condition. <br /> After the two flash flood rainstorms,one on August 29, 2013, and the other <br /> on the morning of September 6, 2013,there was extensive flooding and <br /> damage due to drains, showers and bathtubs,backing up in basement <br /> located at 405 Wetmore, Everett,WA,98201.The whole basement will be <br /> needing extensive restoration and preventative work to be done as soon as <br /> possible. Some of the work necessary will include: pulling base molding, <br /> scraping and repainting the floor, installing sump pumps which will involve <br /> jack hammering and more. In order to do this work properly,all furnishings <br /> will need to be removed. Due to the toxic nature of the paint and dust chips <br /> caused from the scraping,the space will need to be evacuated for an <br /> unknown period of time <br /> It has also been recommended by a Keith Magnuson, a licensed plumber, <br /> that some of the gutter downspouts be rerouted. Originally,they were tied <br /> into the city drain system but at the City of Everett's recommendation the <br /> downspouts were changed to run out to the yard causing even more water to <br /> go into the basement. <br /> Here is a list of some of the restoration projects that have occurred so far <br /> and are to come: (See page 2) <br />
