ORDINANCE NO. 3223, <br /> AN ORDINANCL Amending Sections 14 and 37 of Ordinance <br /> No. 3221, entitled: <br /> rim Ordinance fixing and determining the number of <br /> the various officers, assistants, deputies and <br /> employees of dae City os Lverett; prescribing the <br /> duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and <br /> employees; fixing their salaries; repealing <br /> Ordinance No. 3161 of the City of Everett, and <br /> providing that this Ordinance shall take effect on <br /> January 1, 1949. <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> T!:E CITY OF EVERL TT DOTS ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1; ihat Section 14 of Ordinance No. 3221 be <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 14: POLICE DEFARTh,hENT. <br /> There shall be the following named officers and <br /> assistants in the Police Department, to-wit: <br /> One Chief of Police; Three Captains ; One Super- <br /> intendent Bureau of Identification; Six Sergeants; <br /> Five Detectives ; Thirty-two First Class Patrolmen; <br /> une 'Third Class Patrolman; and One Police '4'yoman. <br /> It shall be the duty of the officers and assistants <br /> in said Police Department to perform the duties indicated <br /> by the name of their employment, and such other duties <br /> as the Chief of Police or Commissioner of Safety may <br /> authorize and direct. <br /> Section 2: That Section 37 of Ordinance No. 3221 be <br /> amended by striking therefrom the words "Sergeant Inspector, ,r320.00 <br /> oer month.
