• <br /> A - <br /> Section 15 : FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> There shall be the following named officers and assistants <br /> in the Fire Department, to-wit : <br /> One Chief; Three Assistant Chiefs ; One superintendent <br /> Fire and Police Signals; One Assistant superintendent Fire and <br /> Police Signals ; One Fire Marshall ; One Master Mechanic ; One Captain <br /> and Personnel Officer; Fourteen Captains; One Assistant Fire Marshall; <br /> One Fire and Police Signal Technician 1st; One Fire and Police Signal <br /> Technician 2nd; One Assistant mechanic ; One Chief Fire Alarm <br /> Operator; Three Fire Alarm Operators; Nineteen Senior Pipemen; <br /> Eleven Junior Pipemen; Ten Second Year Pipemen; Two First Year <br /> Fipemen. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants in <br /> said department to perform the duties indicated by the name of their <br /> employment , and such other duties as the Chief of the Fire Depart- <br /> ment or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. It shall <br /> jj also be the duty of every Fire Department employee of any rank to <br /> operate the signal room as directed by the Chief of the Fire Depart- <br /> ment or Co missioner of Safety. <br /> Section 16: FIRE HYDRANT DEPARTMENT. <br /> There shall be the following named employee in the Fire <br /> Hydrant Department, to-wit: <br /> One Hydrant Repairman. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employee to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of his employment and such other duties <br /> as the Chief of Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety may <br /> authorize and direct. <br /> Section 17: STREET PAINTING DEPARTMENT. <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the Street <br /> Painting Department, to-wit: <br /> One Street Painter and Two Assistant street Painters. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of their employment and such other <br /> duties as the Commissioner of Safety and the Chief of Police shall, <br /> from time to time, authorize and direct. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> Section 18: CITY ENGINEER DEPARTMENT . <br /> There shall be the following named officers, deputies , <br /> assistants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, to-wit : <br /> One City Engineer (part time ) ; One senior Engineer; One <br /> 1 Associate Engineer; Seven Junior Engineers ; Four Senior Engineer- <br /> ! ing Aides ; Four Engineering Aides; One Stenographer; One or more <br /> 1 Inspectors (part time) . <br /> 4 - <br /> i <br />
