ORDINANCE NO. 3210 . <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for emergency appropriations; <br /> providing for the allocation of additional funds to cover unanticipated <br /> expenditures to be made by the following departments for the <br /> following items, to-wit: <br /> Clerk: <br /> Additional cost of Legal Publications 500,00 <br /> City Hall: <br /> Building roof repairs 2,000.00 <br /> Engineer: <br /> Equipment purchase 395.00 <br /> Fire Department: <br /> New Fire Station 367.11 <br /> Police Department: <br /> Equipment repairs 3,000.00 <br /> Gas and oil 800. 00 <br /> Telephone 200.00 <br /> meals, jail 450.00 <br /> Pound Department: <br /> Equipment purchase 379.46 <br /> Paint Department: <br /> Telephone 75.00 <br /> Paint Supplies 1,250.00 <br /> Street marking signs 100.00 <br /> Park Department: <br /> Construction and repair, Clubhouse at Golf Course 10,000.00 <br /> Street Department : <br /> Equipment purchase 14, 300.00 <br /> Total $33,816.57 <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary for the public convenience <br /> and welfare to make certain expenditures over and above that amount <br /> budgeted for said department and items as set forth in the budget <br /> for the year 1948, which items of expenditures could not have been <br /> reasonably foreseen at the time of the making of the budget for the <br /> year 1948, and an emergency exists. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY uF EVERETT DUES ORDAIN: <br /> Sectional: That an emergency exists and that the <br /> following departments and items are allocated the following sums <br /> to cover emergency expenditures in said departments and items in <br /> excess of that amount set forth in the budget for the year 1948: <br /> Clerk: <br /> Additional Cost of Legal Publications § 500.00 <br /> City Hall: <br /> Building roof repairs 2,000.00 <br /> Engineer: <br /> Equipment purchase 395.00 <br /> Fire Department <br /> New fire station 367.11 <br /> -1- <br />
