• •
Kathy Collison
From: Tony Lee
Sent: Monday, February 24, 2020 10:59 AM
To: Chris Muth-Schulz
Cc: Paul Kaftanski; Dave DeMarco; Kathy Collison
Subject: RE: FS 5 Car Strike
The wall has been properly shored up and use of the space should not be restricted.
The damage to the building is limited to the immediate and near impact area—no apparent signs otherwise. The visible
damage is to the exterior wall. The wall is a structural wall (load bearing and lateral-force-resisting).The roof system
(trusses)supported by the damaged wall below appear intact and in proper alignment(currently shored up,visible
inspection of roof members not currently possible—suspect no damage as top plates do not appear to have been
damaged).
Extent of visible damage to include cedar siding, nonstructural CMU veneer, sheathing, studs, plate, electrical and wall
finish (GWB). Electrical and building permits will be required for the repair—no plans required.
My time is one hour to include travel, inspection and writeup. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
Thanks,Tony
Tony Lee
gm
- Building Official I Permit Services
425.257.8812 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:00pm & 1:OOpm-3:OOpm;Tu: 1:OOpm-3:00pm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
From:Chris Muth-Schulz<CSchulz@everettwa.gov>
Sent: Monday, February 24, 2020 8:03 AM
To: Dave DeMarco<DDemarco@everettwa.gov>;Tony Lee<TLee@everettwa.gov>; Paul Kaftanski
<PKaftanski@everettwa.gov>
Cc:Julie Larson-Hughes<JHughes@everettwa.gov>; Christina Wiersma <CWiersma@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: FS 5 Car Strike
Thanks.
