GEDT
PUBLIC WORKS
z ; to,F'J
March 29, 2012
Patrick and Andrea Cullen
1334 Lombard Avenue
Everett, Washington 98201
Re: Plumbing Investigation at 1334 Lombard Avenue
Dear Patrick&Andrea,
The City of Everett's contractor, Seattle Drain Services, inspected your plumbing and
drainage on May 4, 2011, to determine if a backwater valve is appropriate for your
property. Their report, which is attached, indicates that there is an existing backwater valve
on the side sewer that connects your home to the City's sewer main and it is functioning
properly. No improvements were identified that would be eligible for further assistance from
the City Backwater Valve Program.
Please review the report to see where it identifies deficiencies in your sewer and drainage
system that could lead to future problems. These private deficiencies are your responsibility
and we recommend that you take steps to correct these issues. We also recommend that
you regularly inspect your sewer and drainage systems to ensure they are working
properly.
Thank you for your interest in our backwater valve program. If you have any questions,
please contact Marla Carter (425-257-8875, mcarter@ci.everett.wa.us) or Grant Moen
(425-257-8947, gmoen@ci.everett.wa.us).
Sincerely,
Mark Sadler
Maintenance Superintendent
Everett Public Works
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-8882
