How many at risk plumbing fixtures below the road surface are there: 6; toilet, 2 sinks, <br /> shower, floor drain, trench drain for garage. <br /> How many down spouts are currently connected to the sewer: 0 <br /> Does side sewer have slope: flat and back graded in the street and near front door. <br /> Depth of side sewer 10ft from house: 7'2" <br /> Sewer Report: <br /> Material: Concrete <br /> Sewer Length: 86feet <br /> Condition: Poor holding water 1-2 inches near house and from 63ft out to 80ft. <br /> Explain: Looks like the side sewer sank under the drive/walk way on the property which <br /> made it flat or lower than the side sewer line in the street. <br /> Recommend: Replacement with trenching. All trenchless methods would be insufficient <br /> since they would take on the characteristics of the host pipe. <br /> Any additional comments: <br /> • Needs a backwater valve installed on right front corner of house. <br /> Problems Identified <br /> 1) No backwater valve to protect basement during a surcharge event. <br /> Solution: Install backwater valve. Side sewer needs to be repaired in the vicinity of the <br /> proposed location of the backwater valve prior to or at the same time as the valve is <br /> installed so that the valve can function properly. <br /> 2) Belly (sag) in side sewer in driveway and street. <br /> Solution: Needs to be replaced via trenching. <br /> As-Built of Sewer and Plumbing <br /> See attached drawing. <br /> Comments <br /> • Installing a grinder pump would provide increased protection from sewer backups <br /> beyond the protection a backwater valve can provide. <br />
