A backwater valve would not protect <br /> the house, since the fixtures on the first floor are well above the sewer surcharge <br /> threat area. Sewer backups from blockages could still happen at this house, <br /> however backwater valves cannot protect against downstream blockages, only <br /> temporary surcharges from high flows in the sewer main. <br /> Problems Identified <br /> 1) No drainage problems needing immediate attention were identified at this location. <br /> Solution: Not applicable. <br /> As-Built of Sewer and Plumbing <br /> See attached drawing. <br />
