Access to proper equipment,resources, and training is necessary to <br /> effectively prepare for and respond to spills in a timely, safe, and effective manner. <br /> Project Long Description: <br /> The City of Everett is surrounded on three sides by water including marinas,Port of Everett terminals, and Naval Station <br /> Everett. There are also industries,railways,highways, and other infrastructure located throughout the City and near the <br /> shorelines. The Everett Fire Department(EFD), a department of the City of Everett,has initial response responsibilities <br /> for incidents within the City and also has members and resources that respond regionally as a part of the Snohomish <br /> County Hazardous Materials team. While the Everett Fire Department and other local agencies have some spill <br /> response resources,they are limited.
