ORDINANCE NO. 3200. AN ORDINANCE submitting to the qualified electors of Everett a proposition authorizing the levy for a tax upon real and personal property in Everett in the year 1948 payable in the year 1949 of 3 mills in addition to 15 mills and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, and Chapter 253 of the Laws of 1945 of the State of Washington, for the purpose of providing funds for park maintenance and completion of present park and recreational facilities; creating a special fund to be known as the Park Maintenance and Improvement Fund, and providing for issuance of warrants on said fund; pro- viding the form of ballot to be used at said election; and re- questing the Election Board of Snohomish County, Washington to call and hold said election on September 14, 1948. THE CITY OF EVEr:ETT DUES ORDAIN: Section 1: That there shall be submitted to the qualified electors of Everett the proposition of authorizing said City to levy in the year 1948 on all taxable property within said City a tax of 3 mills in addition to the 15 mill levy and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, and Chapter 253 of the Laws of 1945 of the State of Washington, payable in the year 1949 for the purpose of providing funds for park maintenance and completion of present park and recreational facilities. Section 2: That the form of the ballot to be used at said election shall be as follows: Shall the City of Everett be authorized to levy in the year 1948 a tax of 3 mills in addition to 15 mills and other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2 of the Constitution of the State of WWashington, and Chapter 253 of the Laws of 1945 of the State of Washington, payable in the year 1949 for the purpose of providing funds for park maintenance and completion of present park and recreational facilities? YES ( ) NO (+) Section 3: That there is hereby created a special fund to be known as the t'Park Maintenance and Improvement Fund, tt and there shall be paid into said fund the proceeds of the 3 mill tax to be levied in the year 1948 payable in the year 1949. Section 4: That the expenditures for said purposes shall be made by the City of Everett by and through the Park Department of the City of Everett as provided by law. Section 5: That the Election Board of Snohomish County, ashington be, and it is hereby requested to call and hold said election on the loth day of September, 1948.
