On Wednesday September4th 2013 around 7am I realized that our sewer ejector pump was not
functioning properly. After a call to Southwest Plumbing Mike V.arrived and alerted us that there had
been a major malfunction in the pump system, but was not sure of the issue at cause. He alerted me
that he felt the pump's thermal protection had failed causing the pump to overheat and melt a pipe.
This melted pipe caused sewage to back up into the crawl space and subsequent clean up(Travelers
Insurance Claim$733.56,I have not received an invoice yet).Mike also alerted me that this should be
covered by the warranty on the pump.Southwest Plumbing did an emergency fix(invoice#231325&
#231331),and recommended that I contact the company that installed the pump.
The pump installation company informed me that they were not liable for the pump(invoice#T128744)
and advised me to solving the problem.
On September 17th 2013 Specialty Pump&Well viewed the problem and advised me on the proper
installation for the current system and we proceeded to fixing the system and returning it to full
functionality. (Invoice#7578)Specialty Pump&Well Informed me that the basin, float system and
piping for the sewer ejector pump needed to be replaced in full.
We have been informed that the large amount of rain made the weakest part of our system
break in turn causing the subsequent issues.See attached photo of melted pipe, the water in the basin
was so hot because of the pump running constantly that it was steaming
 r
