Tort claim form—Martin,Julie—3411 Wave Dr.,Everett #15.Describe the cause of damages.Explain the extent of property loss. The loss was caused by surface water running from the street(Wave Drive)throughout our property. The water created an instant river which ran through the property,it collected at the base of the driveway against the house filling up the driveway until it seeped under the garage door flooding the garage,laundry room,and family room. Water level accumulation in the garage was approximately 2 feet.It ran through the drywall into the living space of the lower level of our home.The water accumulation in the lower level was approximately a foot and a half. Our 2013 Mercedes C63 AMG which was in the garage was totaled by American Family Insurance as the car had about 10 inches of standing water inside the vehicle. Water remediation services were required to remove the carpet,dry the sheet rock and insulation,clean and apply an anti-microbial. The carpet was ruined,as was the trim work in the rec room,laundry room and bathroom.The vanity in the bathroom was ruined.The dryer had water standing in the tub was no longer fit to use.The walls on that level all needed to be cleaned and painted.
