Our neighbofiood responded with a letter dated
Augusl 05, 2D00 with twenty four (24) individuels who hed signed same, a eopy
of which is enclosed. We were told that pesons submitting a letttr would reccive
written notiGcation when a decision had been made. This did not occur! On
October 20, 2000, (almost two (2) months later) when wc had not heard anyihing
about the application, we met with David Tyler. Wc discovered ihat a "special
property use permit" had bccn pproved.August 15, 7A00, and due tn an error in
the Evcrett Planning lpartment, noae of the "impaeted" neighbocs had been
notifted. At this mcxGng, Mr. Tylor asked us to canvass the ncighborhood to sce
if anyone had reoeived the decision no6ces, while he ptaced a delay on the
application prccess. He then requested a letter from us stadng that no one had
received Ihe notice. This was accomplishod and receivod by the Plaming
Depanment on October 7A, 2000. I'Icase see enclosed copy of letker.
On October 31, 2000, the application was approved and wpies of the decisiun
were mailed to residents. We were all surprised! At this 6me, the invalved
residents decided to submit an appeal. We mct and listed several legitimate
reasons the antennas should be located at another site and offered possible
ellcrnalc locntions. Our rcasons and alternate site locations are as follows:
A. Communicalian contacts (or lack thereo to present date;
B.
