Does side sewer have slope: Yes 1 ck
Depth of side sewer 10ft from house: 8' 2"
Depth of side sewer at proposed backwater valve installation spot: Outside location
depth of 8'
Any additional comments: Toilet was removed to gain access to system as the clean
out would not open. During this process it was noticed that the toilet flange was not
secured correctly. Homeowners were informed of this.
Problems Identified
1) Problem: No backwater valve on side sewer.
Solution: Install backwater valve in front yard in flower bed located on the south
west side of the house. Side were runs parallel to the south side of the house.
2) Problem: Due to down spouts being disconnected from this house and neighbors
house on up-hill side, water has started to run through the basement wall causing
issues.
Solution: Pipe down spouts to back yards and away from houses and their
foundations.
Solution: Install French drain between the two houses with pipes to carry the
down spout and ground water away from the houses and their foundations to the
back yard.
As-Built of Sewer and Plumbing
See attached drawing:
Comments
Has begun to remove dry wall in basement in order to apply a sealant to the foundation
walls to prevent water from seeping into the basement.
Additional Photos and Descriptions
