Washington Department of Ecology is providing grant funding in the amount of $714,750 and the City of Everett provides matching funds of $650,250 for total programmed available funding of $1,365,000. Project summary statement: The project will construct a stormwater treatment facility along 3rd Avenue SE, north of SE Everett Mall Way. The proposed facility will treat runoff from approximately 45 acres of currently untreated land prior to discharge to North Creek. Treatment facility type and size will be determined as part of the design process and compatible with adjacent land uses. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Water Quality Combined Financial Assistance Agreement No. WQC-2022-EVERPW-00085 with the State of Washington Department of Ecology.
