EVERETT <br /> 7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 784 WASHINGTON <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City of Everett adopting the 2021 update of the Snohomish County <br /> Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan. <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> A. The 2021 update of the Snohomish County Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste <br /> Management Plan contains the required elements for such a plan as mandated by state law, and <br /> said elements are important to the city's solid waste management activities. <br /> B. The update to the existing Snohomish County Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste <br /> Management Plan was prepared in accordance with chapter 70.95 RCW,which requires that the <br /> City either adopt the county-wide plan or develop its own plan which must be approved by the <br /> Department of Ecology. <br /> C. Public input and comment was accepted through the development of the plan through various <br /> means and ways and the involvement of the Snohomish County Solid Waste Advisory <br /> Committee was the main organization associated with the development of the plan. <br /> D. Final adoption of the Snohomish County Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste <br /> Management Plan by the Snohomish County Council and the Washington State Department of <br /> Ecology is contingent upon adoption of the Plan by the participating cities in Snohomish County. <br /> E. It is in the public interest to adopt and implement the 2021 update of the Snohomish County <br /> Comprehensive Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> 1.
