4 Y ORDINANCE NO. 3181 . AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Bridgeway from State Road No. 1 to Alverson Boulevard, Medora Way from Bridgeway to Skyline Drive, and Skyline Drive from Bridgeway to Medora 'way by the construction of integral concrete curbs and gutters, a bituminous surface treatment, installation of necessary drainage and by doing all grading or other work necessary to make a complete improvement, in accordance with a petition signed by the owners of more than seventy-five (75%) per cent of the lineal frontage and seventy-five (750) per cent of the area within the proposed district, petitioning for said improvement and requesting that the limits of the assessment be raised to not more than two times the assessed valuation; creating a local improvement district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor ; and providing for the payment of said improvement by special assessment on the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds. WHEREAS; there has been heretofore filed with the City Council of the City of tverett a petition signed by the owners of more than seventy-five (75%) per cent of the lineal frontage and seventy-five (75o) per cent of the area within the proposed district, petitioning for said improvement and requesting that the limits of the assessment be raised to not more than two times the assessed valuation, and upon examination thereof the City Council has found the things set forth therein to be true, and WHEREAS, the said Petition has been referred to the Commis- sioner of Public Works to be examined by said Commissioner and the City Engineer, and the Commissioner of Public uVorks has filed with the City Council all data and information required by law; and WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has recommended to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made and it appearing to the City Council that said petition and improvement is proper in all manners. NON , THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERE 'T DLR'S ORDAIN: Section 1: That Bridgeway from State hoad No. 1 to Alverson Boulevard, Medora Way from Bridgeway to Skyline Drive, and Skyline Drive from Bridgeway to Medora Way be improved by the construction of integral concrete curbs and gutters, a bituminous surface treatment, installation of necessary drainage and by doing all grading or other work necessary to make a complete improvement, all according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2 : That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary incidental expense shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district herein created in accordance with law. The City of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the costs and expenses of such improvement except as provided by Chapter 141, Session Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto and the ordinances of the City of Everett. -1-
