4 Y <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3181 . <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Bridgeway <br /> from State Road No. 1 to Alverson Boulevard, Medora Way from <br /> Bridgeway to Skyline Drive, and Skyline Drive from Bridgeway to <br /> Medora 'way by the construction of integral concrete curbs and gutters, <br /> a bituminous surface treatment, installation of necessary drainage <br /> and by doing all grading or other work necessary to make a complete <br /> improvement, in accordance with a petition signed by the owners of <br /> more than seventy-five (75%) per cent of the lineal frontage and <br /> seventy-five (750) per cent of the area within the proposed district, <br /> petitioning for said improvement and requesting that the limits of <br /> the assessment be raised to not more than two times the assessed <br /> valuation; creating a local improvement district, creating a local <br /> improvement district fund therefor ; and providing for the payment <br /> of said improvement by special assessment on the property in said <br /> district under the mode of payment by bonds. <br /> WHEREAS; there has been heretofore filed with the City <br /> Council of the City of tverett a petition signed by the owners of <br /> more than seventy-five (75%) per cent of the lineal frontage and <br /> seventy-five (75o) per cent of the area within the proposed district, <br /> petitioning for said improvement and requesting that the limits of <br /> the assessment be raised to not more than two times the assessed <br /> valuation, and upon examination thereof the City Council has found <br /> the things set forth therein to be true, and <br /> WHEREAS, the said Petition has been referred to the Commis- <br /> sioner of Public Works to be examined by said Commissioner and the <br /> City Engineer, and the Commissioner of Public uVorks has filed with <br /> the City Council all data and information required by law; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has recommended <br /> to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made and <br /> it appearing to the City Council that said petition and improvement <br /> is proper in all manners. <br /> NON , THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERE 'T DLR'S ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Bridgeway from State hoad No. 1 to <br /> Alverson Boulevard, Medora Way from Bridgeway to Skyline Drive, and <br /> Skyline Drive from Bridgeway to Medora Way be improved by the <br /> construction of integral concrete curbs and gutters, a bituminous <br /> surface treatment, installation of necessary drainage and by doing <br /> all grading or other work necessary to make a complete improvement, <br /> all according to the plans and specifications prepared under the <br /> direction of the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications <br /> are hereby adopted and approved. <br /> Section 2 : That the cost and expense of such improvement, <br /> including all necessary incidental expense shall be borne by and <br /> assessed against the property included in the assessment district <br /> herein created in accordance with law. The City of Everett shall <br /> not be liable in any manner for any portion of the costs and <br /> expenses of such improvement except as provided by Chapter 141, <br /> Session Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto and the ordinances <br /> of the City of Everett. <br /> -1- <br />
