ORDINANCE No. 3158 .
<br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 28 of Ordinance No. 2513
<br /> of the City of Everett , which Ordinance is entitled as follows:
<br /> "An Ordinance relating to , and providing for, the
<br /> licensing and reeulating of certain occupations, businesses, voca-
<br /> tions , trades , callings, amusements, places of amusements , exhibi-
<br /> tions, entertainments , animals, motor vehicles , places and establish-
<br /> ments ; defining offenses , providing penalties; providing for the
<br /> revocation and suspension of licenses , repealing Ordinances No. 2196,
<br /> 853 , 1301, 1503 , 1583 , 1585, 1595 , 1598, 1771, 1851, 1932, 1941,
<br /> 1948, 1964, 2087, 21$2, 2249, 2333 , 2370 and 2038, and all other
<br /> ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith."
<br /> and declaring an emergency.
<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1: That Section 28 of Ordinance No. 2513 of
<br /> the City of Everett be , and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br /> Section 28: Every applicant for an Electric Sign
<br /> Hanger' s License shall file with the City Clerk an application for
<br /> such license , accompanied by a satisfactory certificate, signed by
<br /> at least two (2) responsible electricians or builders, or one of
<br /> each, to the effect that said applicant is known to them to be a
<br /> responsible person, skilled in the business of erecting electric
<br /> signs and qualified to perform such work.
<br /> He shall also file with the City Clerk a bond running
<br /> to the City of Everett in the penal sum of One Thousand Dollars
<br /> ($1000.00) conditioned that he will indemnify and save harmless the
<br /> City of Everett from all claims , actions or damages of every kind
<br /> and description which may accrue to , or be suffered by, any person
<br /> by reason of the negligent or improper erection or hanging of an
<br /> electric sign, or any failure to comply with any ordinance in the
<br /> City of Everett relating to the erection and hanging of electric
<br /> signs.
<br /> Upon filing such application, certificate and bond ,
<br /> and the payment of the license fee , the City Clerk shall issue an
<br /> Electric Sign Hanger' s License in conformity with the provisions
<br /> of this ordinance.
<br /> Section 2: That an emergency is declared to exist
<br /> and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publica-
<br /> tion.
