June 1, 2022 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:31 p.m., <br /> June 1, 2022, by President Stonecipher. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, and Council Members Rhyne, <br /> Zarlingo, Tuohy, Schwab, and President Stonecipher were present. Council <br /> Members Vogeli and Fosse were excused. <br /> Council Member Schwab led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Tuohy acknowledged the original <br /> inhabitants of this place, the sduhub people, and their successors, the Tulalip <br /> Tribes. <br /> The minutes of the May 25, 2022, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin read a proclamation recognizing June 4, 2022, as Gun Violence <br /> Awareness Day. <br /> Mayor Franklin recommended the following applicant be appointed to the Everett <br /> Municipal Court, Position 2,to fill the seat and remaining term for Judge Laura Van <br /> Slyck, who is vacating her position. <br /> APPOINTMENT <br /> Moved by Council Member Rhyne, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to <br /> concur with the following appointment: <br /> Everett Municipal Court <br /> • POS 2, Remy Leonard <br /> Council Members thanked the newly appointed judge for her willingness to serve <br /> the City and the community. <br /> 1 <br />
