The site plan submitted is not drawn to scale. What scale did you use? It is noted on the plans that the
scale is 1" = 1', but this does not line up. Also, when I measure some of the dimensions on the plans (for example the 5'
and 10'setbacks) and line these measurements up with other dimensions called out(for example 33'front setback)the
scale is way off.
I cannot approve the permits until we receive a site plan drawn to scale. I have attached the residential construction
submittal checklist as a reminder of the site plan requirements. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding
these requirements. I would be happy to go over these at the front counter or over the phone, so we can move forward
with processing your permits.
Thank you,
Alexandria Byrd
mAssistant Planner I Community, Planning& Economic Development
425.257.7281 13200 Cedar Street 2nd Fl., Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
From:Alex Byrd
Sent: Friday, December 20, 2019 3:10 PM
To: riddellbrandon1986@gmail.com
Subject: 932 E. Marine View Drive, permits BW1911-003 and BW1911-004- PLANNING CORRECTIONS
Hello,
Thank you for submitting a building permit to construct a new deck and convert a garage to a rec room at 932 E. Marine
View Drive, permits BW1911-003 and BW1911-004. In order for the planning department to approve the permits,
please submit the following:
Site plan corrections for both permits:
1. Please submit a site plan drawn to an accurate scale.
2. The dimensions called out on the site plan do not add up correctly. For example,36+40+16+33=125, but the lot
depth is labeled 124'.
3. The setbacks called out on the site plan significantly differ from what is shown on GoSync (see attached
aerial). Please clarify how you determined the setbacks. Without a site plan drawn to scale, it's difficult to tell
why these numbers may differ. Please note that the front deck must meet the 20-foot required front setback.
1
