CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Supplement Division 1 by adding the following: General Description and Location of Project (******) Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct approximately 2,600 lineal feet of 6-in HDPE sanitary sewer force main, air release valve assemblies, force main access wyes, and other such appurtenances for those items and performing all Work as required by the Contract Documents. All work is generally to occur on or about Shore Avenue from Edgewater Park east to the easement area west of Gardner Avenue and is to remain within the R.O.W. of Shore Avenue. Design Engineer (******) Questions and inquiries about these Contract Documents should be directed in writing to the attention of Candice Au-Yeung, City Project Manager, CAuyeung@everettwa.gov. Standard Specifications (******) All Work under this Contract shall be performed in accordance with the following Specifications except as may be exempted or modified by other sections of these Contract Documents. These Specifications are incorporated by reference, made a part of this Contract and shall control and guide all activities within this Project whether referred to directly, paragraph by paragraph. WSDOT/APWA "2021 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction", as amended, hereinafter referred to as the "Standard Specifications." The Standard Specifications, as modified or supplemented by these Special Provisions, all of which are made a part of the Contract Documents, shall govern all of the Work. The following latest edition of other specifications and standard plans shall apply to the extent to which they are called out in the Contract Documents: 1. City of Everett "Design and Construction Standards and Specifications", latest edition as found on the Web at "https://www.everettwa.gov/1531/Design- Construction-Standards". 2. "Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction", as prepared by WSDOT. 3. "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)." 4. APWA Standards. 5. AWWA Standards. Each Provision of these Special Provisions either supplements, modifies, or replaces the comparable Standard Specification, or is a new Provision. The deletion, amendment, alteration, or addition to any subsection or portion of the Standard Specifications is meant to pertain only to that particular portion of the section, and in no way should it be interpreted that the balance of the section does not apply. Sections and subsections in the Special Provisions labeled under the headers with (******) indicate City of Everett Provisions.
