THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE EACH OBSERVATION AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR <br />TO DATE OF THE PROPOSED OBSERVATION. <br />7. THE PURPOSE OF THESE <br />DRAWINGS IS TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THE CONTRACTOR UNDERSTANDS THE DESIGN <br />CONCEPT DOCUMENTED HEREIN. SUBMITTALS CONSISTING OF DRAWINGS TAKEN <br />DIRECTLY FROM THESE PLANS WILL NOT BE APPROVED. "BLDG DEPT" -- IF CHECKED, THE SUBMITTALS SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED <br />BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL PRIOR TO FABRICATION AND/OR INSTALLATION. <br />7, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW, STAMP AND APPROVE SUBMITTALS PRIOR TO <br />REVIEW BY THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER. UNREVIEWED OR UNSTAMPED SUBMITTALS <br />WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CONTRACTOR UNREVIEWED. <br />8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALLOW TWO WEEKS FOR REVIEW OF SUBMITTALS. <br />COMMENTS OR MARKS ON SUBMITTALS ARE A NORMAL AND EXPECTED PART OF THE <br />SUBMITTAL PROCESS AND SHALL NOT BE USED AS A BASIS FOR CHANGE ORDERS. <br />TIME REQUIRED TO REVISE AND RESUBMIT ANY SUBMITTAL SHALL BE CONSIDERED <br />INHERENT IN THE TO THE SUBMITTAL REVIEW PROCESS AND SHALL NOT BE DEEMED <br />A CHANGE ORDER. <br />9. CONTRACTOR REQUESTED CHANGES OR SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN <br />WRITING TO THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO FABRICATION OR <br />CONSTRUCTION. BOLTED CONNECTIONS OF MEMBERS MARKED 'SLRS' OR CONNECTIONS NOTED AS <br />SLIP CRITICAL SHALL BE PRETENSIONED AND SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A <br />CLASS A FAYING SURFACE. CONNECTIONS AT THESE MEMBERS SHALL BE MADE USING <br />STANDARD HOLES IN ALL PLYS. <br />9. PENETRATIONS OF ANY SIZE IN ANY AREA OF THE MEMBER MUST BE REVIEWED AND <br />APPROVED BY THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER. <br />10. BEAMS AND GIRDERS SHALL NOT SUPPORT PIPING LARGER THAN 10" DIAMETER <br />WITHOUT THE REVIEW OF THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER OF RECORD. <br />11.
