I <br /> City of Everett 00 21 13 - 7 <br /> 1 Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> A. The Contractor will be required to assure that equal employment opportunities will be in <br /> effect to all individuals throughout the length of this Contract, pursuant to SECTION <br /> 007200-, Part 7 "Labor Standards," of the Contract Documents. The Contractor must <br /> comply with all local, state and federal laws pertaining to non-discrimination and equal <br /> employment opportunity. <br /> I <br /> 1.17 DBE/WBE SUBCONTRACTOR CERTIFICATION <br /> A. The Contractor is required to actively solicit bids for subcontract work from <br /> "Disadvantaged Business Enterprises" (DBE's) and "Women's Business Enterprises" <br /> (WBE's). The Contractor is required also to document such effort on the "City of Everett <br /> Disadvantaged/Minority/Women's Business Enterprise Certification" form and to submit <br /> said form, in accordance with SECTION 004539 of the Contract Documents, with its Bid. <br /> 1.18 NON-COLLUSION AFFIDAVIT <br /> A. The Contractor must submit a "Non-Collusion Affidavit" in accordance with SECTION <br /> 004519 of the Contract Documents as part of the Bid package. If the City has reason to <br /> believe that collusion exists among Bidders, the City will reject the Bids of the known <br /> participants in such collusion and may, at its option, require that all Bidders certify under <br /> penalty of perjury, that no collusion has occurred or exists. <br /> 1.19 STATE SALES TAX <br /> A. The Washington State Department of Revenue has issued special rules on the State <br /> sales tax. The Contractor should contact the Washington State Department of Revenue <br /> for answers to questions in this area. The City will not adjust its payment if the Contractor <br /> bases a Bid on a misunderstood tax liability. <br /> B. The Contractor shall not include State retail sales taxes in the unit bid prices. A separate <br /> line item for applying State retail sales tax is provided in the Bid Form. <br /> 1.20 LIMITATIONS REGARDING CONTRACTOR'S CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES <br /> A. Bidders should review the Contract Documents regarding limitations on claims for <br /> damages. <br /> 1.21 DELAYS AND INTERFERENCE <br /> A. Bidders should review the Contract Documents regarding delays and interference. <br /> 1.22 BIDDER'S CHECK LIST <br /> A.
