Results of our evaluation and design recommendations are described below.
PROJECT INFORMATION
The site is located as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The site is a developed lot covered with a
residential building in a residential neighborhood. Site topography is illustrated in Figure 1. We
understand the garage foundations will be supported/underpinned on helical piers or steel pipe
piles. We do not anticipate significant site grading (fill placement)for this project. We anticipate
proposed underpinnings or foundation stabilization elements will be constructed with moderate
foundation loads. If these proposed conditions change, we should be contacted to modify our
report. It should be noted that our scope of services did not include any structural design or
foundation engineering of any kind. Our scope of services did not include forensic evaluation or
condition survey of the existing structures on the site. Our scope of work was limited to
geotechnical evaluation for the use of helical piers for supporting the proposed deck foundations.
SCOPE OF WORK
Our scope of work included following specific items:
• Review of available reports and literature on soils, geology, natural hazards, and USGS maps.
• Surface and subsurface soils/bedrock and groundwater/drainage conditions using soil
auguring and Williamson drive probes. We performed two soil borings/explorations/drive
41105 NE Cedar Ridge Rd www.americangeoservices.com Mailing: 24 Roy Street #343
Amboy, WA 98601 sma@americangeoservices.com Seattle, WA 98109
Ph: (360) 437 16369 Ph: (888) 276 4027 P .
