I ORDINANCE NO. 3125. An Ordinance submitting to the qualified electors of Everett, a proposed amendment to Section 7 of the Charter of Everett, relating to the salary of City Commissioners, at a municipal election to be held on the /f(71 day of August, 1947 and requesting the Election 3oard of Snohomish County, uuashin ,ton to call said election at said time for said purpose. '4HEHEAS, the City Commissioners of Everett desire to present to the qualified electors of Everett a proposed amendment to Section 7 of the City Charter dealing with the alaries of the City Com- missioners of Everett and providing for an increase in salaries of said Commissioners. THE CITY OF EVERETT DUES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That a proposed amendment to Section 7 of the Charter of Everett, in relation to the salaries of Commissioners, be submitted to the qualified electors of Everett at a special municipal election to be held on the /9t- day of August, 1947. Section 2 : That Section 7 of the Charter of Everett be amended to read as follows : "Section 7: Salaries: The annual salaries of each Commissioner of the City of Everett shall be ; 3,000.00 until the term of office of said Com- missioners, beginning in January, 1948, and thereafter the salaries of each Commissioner shall be ; 350.00 per month. The salaries shall be paid in equal semi-monthly installments. " Section 3: The form of ballot to be used in said election shall be as follows: "An Ordinance amending Section 7 of the City Charter of Everett raising the salaries of each of the Commissioners to cp350.00 per month, commencing with the term of office beginning January, 1948. " Shall the Ordinance be adopted: YES ( ) NO.
