However, the submitted documents are not sufficient
for us to perform a review at this time. Construction-level documents need to be submitted for
review. Preliminary comments are provided below to assist in preparing the drawings, but these are not
intended to provide a comprehensive review.
1. The submittal did not include a set of construction documents. It appears that a plan may have been
developed (provided on 8.5x11 sheet). Details and structural notes also appear to be mixed into the
calculations package. A concise drawing package should be provided.
2. The proposed construction is not clear. A survey plan including on page 7 of the calculation package,
and the details, appear to indicate the repair or replacement of the foundation system with a
combination of new CIP foundations, interior posts on foundations, and deep foundation elements. A
clear foundation plan showing the type, location, and extent of the work should be provided. The
existing framing and foundation elements should be clearly shown and labeled. Existing and new
construction should be clearly delineated.
3. Continuing with the previous comment, all foundation details should be cross-referenced with the
foundation plan.
4. The project appears to include deep foundation elements. These require special inspection per IBC
Chapter 17. The submittal documents should include a special inspection schedule.
5. Details for the interior supports and foundation do not appear to be included.
Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been
submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
Drew Martin, P.E.,S.E.
im
- Associate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:OOpm & 1:00pm-3:O0pm;Tu: 1:00pm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
COVID-19 Update: Please reference our website& online resources for updates to our service during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
