a_ each such institution comply with any requirements that are imposed on it by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United Mates; and b_ subject to para, each such institution comply with its own representations, if any, concerning academic freedom, freedom of inquiry and debate, research independence, and research integrity. at the institution, that are included in promotional materials, in official statements, in formal policies, in applications for grants (including this award application), for accreditation; or for licensing; or in submissions relating to such grants, accreditation, or licensing, or that otherwise are made or disseminated to students, to faculty, or to the general public. (9) I assure that, if the Applicant is a governmental entity, with respect to the award (if any) made by the Department based on the application — a. it will comply with the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisitions Act of 1970 (42 U.S.O. §§ 4601-4555), which govern the treatment of persons displaced as a result of federal and federally -assisted programs; and b. it will comply with requirements of 5 U.S.C. §§ 1501-1508 and 7324-T328, which limit certain political activities of State or local government employees whose principal employment is in connection with an activity financed in whole or in part by federal assistance.
