i• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3100. <br /> AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number of the various <br /> officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everet ; <br /> prescribing the duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and <br /> employees; fixing their salaries; repealing Ordinance No.3049 <br /> of the City of Everett, and providing that this Ordinance shall <br /> take effect on January 1, 1947. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That beginning January 1 , 1947, and on and afte <br /> said date, the various officers, assistants, deputies and employee. <br /> of the City of Everett , in addition to those provided for in the <br /> Charter of the City of Everett , shall be as in this Ordinance pro- <br /> vided. <br /> Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY D:l,PARTI,''ENT. <br /> There shall be in the office of the City Attorney an Assistan <br /> City Attorney, a stenographer and a relief stenographer (part time ) . <br /> Said Assistant City Attorney and said stenographers shall <br /> perform such duties as the City Attorney may authorize and direct. <br /> Section 3: CITY HALL DEPART" NT. <br /> There shall be in the City Hall Department one janitor and on <br /> assistant janitor. Said janitor and said assistant janitor shall <br /> perform the janitor work in connection with the City Hall. <br /> Section 4: LIBRARY DE 1,1'I TNT. <br /> There shall be in the Library Department the following named <br /> officers, assistants and employees, to-wit : <br /> One Librarian; One Catalogue Librarian; One Order Librarian; <br /> One Reference Librarian; One Children' s Librarian; One Public <br /> Relations Librarian; One Bindery Clerk; One Children' s Department <br /> Clerk; One Circulation Clerk; One Bookwagon Clerk; One Secretary; <br /> One or more Assistants and Substitutes (part time) ; One or more <br /> Janitors. <br /> The Librarian shall be in general charge and shall have super- <br /> vision of the Library Department. The other officers, assistants, <br /> and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature <br /> of their office and as authorized and directed by the Librarian. <br /> Section 5: CIVIL SERVICE DEYARTT ANT. <br /> There shall be in the Civil Service Department the following <br /> named officers: <br /> One Secretary (part time ) ; One Assistant Examiner (part time ) ; <br /> One or more Special Examiners (part time ) . <br /> - 1 - <br />
