4.0 REVIEW OF DOCUMENTS AND CONSTRUCTION MONITORING Landau Associates' scope of services includes review of the earthwork and foundation portions of the design drawings and specifications. The purpose of the review is to verify that the recommendations presented in this report have been properly interpreted and incorporated in the design and specifications. We strongly recommend that we be involved in continued discussion with the design team and the contractor, especially with respect to the anticipated phasing of earthwork operations, foundation construction,site pad retaining wall construction,and slab-on-grade construction. We recommend that geotechnical monitoring services be provided during construction. These services will be especially important because of an expected relatively complex construction phasing,the important nature of fill pad construction with respect to slab-on-grade performance, construction of isolated non-redundant drilled shaft foundations, and other geotechnically critical aspects of the proposed building.
