• • . ; • ORDINANCE No. 3 US 5 . • AT; ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Walnut Street , from California Streetto Everett Avenue, by paving with a bituminous pavement and concrete curbs and gutters, including as a part of such work the installation of all needed surface drainage, construction or reconstruction of all sewers, side sewers, water mains and hydrants with the necessary appurtenances, construction or reconstruction of concrete sidewalks where necessary, grading or regrading as may be • necessary and doing all other work' as ray be necessary in connection • therewith to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with Resolution No. 5141 of the Gity of 1Iverett ; creating a local im- • provement district ; creating a local improvement district fund there- for; providing that fifty percent of the cost of that portion of the improvement involving grading, construction of curbs end gutters • together with the necessary drainage appurtenances, construction of street surfaces and paving and engineering •expenses shall be paid by funds from the Washington State Development Board , and the remaining cost of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds . 7TIERElis, by Resolution No. 5141 the City Council of the City of _iverett has declared its intention to order the improvement • as above outlined , and doing all work in connection therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Everett . NOh;', THEREFORE, TEE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That Walnut Street , from California Street to Everett Avenue, be improved by paving with a bituminous pavement and concrete curbs and gutters and including as a part of such work the installation of all needed surface drainage , construction or reconstruction of all sewers, side sewers, water mains and hydrants , with the necessary appurtenances, constructionor reconstruction of concrete sidewalks where necessary, grading or regrading as may be necessary, and doing all other work as may be necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement , all according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, and >hich plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. . Section 2 : fhat the cost and expense of such improve- ment, including all necessary and incidental expenses, shall be borne as follows: Fifty percent of the cost of that portion of the improvement involving grading, construction of curbs and gutters, together with the necessary drainage appurtenances, construction of street surfaces and paving and engineering expenses, shall be paid by funds from the Washington State Development aoard. - 1%11 other costs and expenses shall be borne by end assessed against the property included in the district herein created in accordance with law.
