ORDINANCE No. 3067 . <br /> AN ORDINACE prohibiting the sale and possession of in- <br /> toxicating liquors in violation of the laws of the State of Wash- <br /> in€;ton, prohibiting the consumption of liquor onor in arty In lic piece, <br /> defining penalties, providing for the issuance of search warrants <br /> by the rolice Justice, and repealing Ordinances No. 1249, No. 2561 <br /> and 1+o . 2606 of the City of Everett . <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT uOES uRDA1N: <br /> Section 1: This ordinance shall be deemed an exercise <br /> of Police rower of Everett for the protection of the welfare, <br /> health, peace , morals and safety of the people of Everett, and all <br /> its provisions shall be liberally construed fbr the accomplishment <br /> of that 'Aurpose . <br /> Section 2: It shall be unlawful to sell any liquor, <br /> including wine or beer by the drink or by the Mottle in the City <br /> of Everett , except as otherwise provided by Washington State <br /> Liquor Act , Chapter 62, of the Session Laws of Washington, Extra- <br /> ordinary Session 1933, and as amended. <br /> Section 3: Any person who shall keep or possess <br /> liquor, including wine or beer, on premises conducted or main- <br /> tained by him as principal or agent , with intent to sell the same <br /> in violation of this ordinance and tie ;aashington State Liquor <br /> Act Chapter 62 of the Session Laws of Washington, Extraordinary <br /> Session 1933, and amendments, shall be guilty of a violation of V , <br /> this ordinance . <br /> Section 4: (a ) Except in the case of liquor given <br /> or permitted to be given to a person under the age of twenty-one <br /> years by his parent or guardian for beverage or medicinal pur- <br /> poses, or administered to him by his physician or dentist for <br /> medical purposes, no person shall give, or otherwise supply <br /> liquor to any person under the age of twenty-one years, or permit <br /> any person under that age to consume liquor on his premises or <br /> on any premises under his control. <br /> (b) Every person under the age of twenty-one years <br /> who makes application for a permit to purchase liquor shall be <br /> guilty of an offense against this ordinance . <br /> (c ) Every person under the age of twenty-one years <br /> who purchases any liquor shall be guilty of a violation of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> (d) It shall be unlawful for any person to serve or <br /> allow to remain on the premises of any tavern any person under <br /> the age of twenty-one years. <br /> -1- <br />
