The purpose of the <br />grant is to improve the water quality in Port Gardner Bay through the installation of a Modular <br />Wetlands Systems. <br />The Modular Wetlands System replicates natural processes to remove a variety of pollutants from <br />stormwater runoff, including fine total suspended solids, bacteria, oils, grease, heavy metals, and <br />harmful nutrients like nitrates and phosphorus. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the release of Invitation for Bid #2022-032 Modular Wetlands System — Linear as <br />substantially provided. <br />
