EXHIBIT A 2022-2024 SCOPE OF SERVICES June 2022 PROJECT UNDERSTANDING Perteet has been requested to provide emergency preparedness and response professional services support to the City of Everett Public Works Department for a 3-year period.The department has identified gaps in their current emergency preparedness planning and desires additional support to implement the planning and programmatic actions as directed by the City. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK Perteet has been requested to provide a scope of work, fee, and schedule to assist the Everett Public Works Department with its emergency preparedness and response. Perteet's work will be consistent with FEMA Comprehensive Planning Guide 101 (CPG 101) and the standards of care in the National Fire Protection Association 1600 (NFPA 1600) and may include the following activities: • Training and Exercise Development • Participate in preparation of FEMA Grant Applications, including but not limited Public Assistance, Hazard Mitigation, and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities, as assigned by the City Project Manager • Attend Everett Public Works Emergency Preparation Team meetings as requested. • Emergency Response Plan Program Expansion • Emergency Response Plan Implementation DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK Task — Preparedness Planning Services • Training and Exercise Development • Perteet will coordinate and assist the Public Works Department's efforts to develop specific training and exercise program as directed by the City Project Manager. • Grant Funding • Perteet will coordinate and assist the Public Works Department in identifying project eligibility and grant application process as directed by the City Project Manager. • Public Assistance Claims • Perteet will coordinate and assist the Public Works Department's efforts in filing Public Assistance Claims as directed by the City Project Manager. 2 File Location:X:\Everett,City of\Projects\20180018-Evt Preparedness Initiative II\Project Management\Contract
