I <br /> GEOTECHNICAL EVALUATION <br /> EVERETT,WASHINGTON <br /> February 6,2018 <br /> to Introduction <br /> In accordance with your authorization, Cobalt Geosciences, LLC (Cobalt) has completed a geotechnical <br /> evaluation for the proposed parking lot located adjacent to 11625 Airport Road in Everett, Washington <br /> (Figure 1). <br /> The purpose of the geotechnical investigation was to identify subsurface conditions and to provide <br /> preliminary geotechnical recommendations for pavement design, earthwork, soil compaction, utilities, <br /> stormwater management,and suitability of the on-site soils for use as fill. <br /> The scope of work for the geotechnical investigation consisted of a site investigation followed by <br /> engineering analyses to prepare this report. Recommendations presented herein pertain to various <br /> geotechnical aspects of the proposed development,including drainage and earthwork. <br /> 2.o Projectj Description <br /> P <br /> The project includes development of the site with a new asphalt paved parking lot and stormwater <br /> management infrastructure. The parking lot will be used by the Sonrise Christian Center which is located <br /> southwest of the property. <br /> We anticipate that site grading will include cuts and fills on the order of 8 feet or less. Stormwater runoff <br /> will likely be directed into below-grade detention vaults with overflow discharge to an adjacent wetland <br /> I area. <br /> 3.0 Site Description <br /> The site is located north and east of 11625 Airport Road in Everett,Washington(Figure 1). The property <br /> consists of one irregularly shaped parcel (No. 00537900oo530i) with a total area of 82,113 square feet. <br /> The property is situated with the long direction extending slightly north of east to just south of west. For <br /> the purposes of this report and ease of understanding, the long direction extends east to west and the <br /> short direction is north to south. <br /> The property is currently undeveloped and is vegetated with grasses, blackberry vines, along with sparse <br /> Fir and small diameter deciduous trees. There is an apparent wetland area in the eastern portion of the <br /> property. <br /> A majority of the property is nearly level to slightly undulating. There is a low ridge near the center of the <br /> property that extends about 8 feet above the adjacent areas. A paved utility access roadway is located <br /> north of the property. <br /> The property is bordered to the north and west by undeveloped land, to the south by commercial <br /> properties,and to the east by a utility lift station. <br /> i <br /> I <br /> P.O.Box 82243,Kenmore,WA 984328 <br />
