The source of funds is Fund
354, Program 078. The estimated design cost is $30,000, hourly not to exceed.
Project summary statement:
Staff has identified deficiencies at the Clark Park Gazebo that requires major repairs to structural
columns, facia, roofing, railing and failing foundation. Additionally, the project will include the
installation of a decorative sliding locked shutter system, an outward opening full height locking
double door, ADA compliant ramp, and repairs to surrounding landscape. These renovations
would allow for reserved access with features related to the architecture of the gazebo. The
scope of work includes design and engineering services, the creation of an engineer's estimate
for the costs to repair and renovate, and will provide plans and specifications necessary to
convey the scope of work to bidding contractors.
2812 Architecture was selected from the MRSC consultant roster.
Upon completion of the design work, Parks & Facilities staff will return to Council to amend the
Ordinance for the total project costs.
Recommendation (exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign a professional service agreement with 2812 Architecture to
provide architectural and engineering services for the Clark Park Gazebo Renovation
Project.
