Marine View Drive <br />Plans & Systems Ordinance 3869-22 Passed 4/6/2022 <br />Fund 303 — Public Works Improvements <br />Fiscal summary statement: <br />The City of Everett seeks a Professional Services Agreement with Jacobs Engineering <br />Group Inc., with a total compensation amount not to exceed $346,273 for the initial <br />design study. <br />The funding source for Design is a Washington State LEAP Transportation grant in the <br />amount of $2,500,000 and local matching funds of 165,200 from Fund 303 — Public <br />Works Improvements. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Phase 1 improvements to the corridor consisting of intersection improvements at 41' & <br />Rucker, Rucker & Pacific, and Pacific & W. Marine View Drive were completed in 2018. <br />The City received Connecting Washington funding for Phase 2 Improvements to the <br />arterial corridor from 1-5 & 41st to West Marine View Drive. This phase 2 of the project <br />will provide additional improvements to the corridor to improve freight mobility and <br />increase pedestrian safety. <br />This Professional Services Agreement provides for an initial study to further develop and <br />refine the scope of the intended improvements. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Jacobs <br />Engineering Group Inc., for 41st Street to Rucker Avenue Corridor Phase 2 <br />
