The [wo tributaries diat <br /> wcre impacted are designated as"Pype Ns strcams on our Critical Areas map. Type Ns <br /> strcams requirc a minimum buffcr of 50 tcet. 'Chc purposc of this Ictter is to describc thc <br /> requirements for a restoration pinn :tnd related mcasures lo mitigate tlie environmental <br /> itnpact of the ongoing mining operation there. 'Phc City's goal is to have botlt of thc <br /> impacted stream corridors restored widi ground covcr, sl�rubs and trees. <br /> NitBin 10 days, please indicate in writing wl�ether you agree to voluntarily completc tlie <br /> steps described below or if you prefer to pursue a ddCerent course of action. <br /> 13y August 28, 2009, submit tlte following to tl�e Everett Planning Department: <br /> 1. A resroration plan that meets the requaements of EMC 19.37.250.B.2 and 19.37.2G0, <br /> which require restoration of the stteams and their buffers to a condition Utat is <br /> ec�uivalent or superior to dteir ptior natural condition. <br /> 2. A Public �Vorls perniit with an erosion control plan. <br /> I3y October 9, 2009, the following must be completed: <br /> 1. Restoration of the altered critical area per the city appmved resroration plan. <br /> 2. Installatio�i of erosion control mcasures along the south edge of the headwaters of the <br /> lributarics. <br /> 3. Installation of Critical Area signs (available from the Ciry) along U�e buffer's edge. <br /> r1s an altcrnativc ro the abovc steps, die streams and b�ffers may be altered or reloeated if <br /> thc conJitions undcr�MC 19.37.180.B.3b and 19.37.180.0 arc met.
