August 10, 2022 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br /> August 10, 2022, President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, <br /> Vogeli, Zarlingo, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Members Rhyne <br /> and Schwab were excused. <br /> Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> On behalf of the City Council, President Stonecipher acknowledged the original <br /> inhabitants of this place, the sduhubs people, and their successors, the Tulalip <br /> Tribes. <br /> The minutes of the August 3, 2022, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin introduced Deputy Mayor Nick Harper to provide an overview of <br /> Snohomish County's purchase of the Days Inn for future conversion to bridge <br /> housing for the unsheltered population. <br /> Yorik Stevens-Wajda, Planning, also provided an overview of zoning around the <br /> Days Inn. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> The following individuals spoke: <br /> John Desco, San Diego, spoke about the Days Inn renovation impact on Everett <br /> Mall. <br /> Aaron Shirts, Everett, spoke about road dangers surrounding one of the pallet <br /> shelters on Cady Road.
