EVERETT 3898-22 WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. An Ordinance creating a special construction project entitled "Forest Park Spray Pad Recirculation", Fund 354, Program 079,to accumulate costs for the project in the amount of$60,000. WHEREAS, A. The City Council recognizes the need to maintain City facilities. B. The 2019 facilities condition assessment identified deficiencies with the Forest Park Spray Pad Water Supply System and concluded the daily water consumption goes directly into the park's drainage system. C. The need to improve water conservation by reducing water consumption at the spray park. D. Upgrade into a treatment and recirculating pump system to improve water conservation. E. The City Council recognizes the need to upgrade the Forest Park Spray Pad Water Supply System located at 802 East Mukilteo Blvd, Everett WA 98203. NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund 354, Program 079, Forest Park Spray Pad Recirculation and shall be entitled "Forest Park Spray Pad Recirculation" to accumulate all costs for the project. Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks & Facilities Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3. The cost of the design and engineering of this project is$60,000 not including costs related to construction. Section4: The sum of $60,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354 Program 079, Forest Park Spray Pad Recirculating Fund. A. Use of Funds Design $60,000 Total $60,000 B.
