The match has been included in the 2023 capital budget <br />for Fund 425. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Washington State Department of Transportation is providing supplemental grant funding <br />from the 2021-2023 Green Transportation Grant Program to support Everett Transit in <br />developing a comprehensive fleet transition plan that addresses the conversion of fixed route <br />and paratransit fleets from diesel to electric. This also includes an implementation plan and <br />timeline for a motor vehicle facility and expanded or new operations base to support an electric <br />fleet. Transition plans are now a requirement to compete for federal discretionary funding for <br />bus replacements. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Washington State Department of Transportation Green <br />Transportation Planning Grant Agreement. <br />
