This understanding is based on the <br /> following: The standard mentioned, ASTM E2336, is inclusive of ASTM E119 "Standard Test <br /> Methods for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Material" as specifically called out under <br /> IBC 703.2 "Fire Resistance Ratings and Fire Tests". Though ASTM E119 does not specifically <br /> list ventilation ducts, the testing methods and intent are closely aligned with ISO 6944 "Fire <br /> Containment — Elements of Building Construction — Ventilation Ducts".
