Please refer to
permit number E1908-074,to update the electrical system of the house. Inspector Mike Bearda inspected after the
repairs(done by Inhouse Electrical Services)and said that they were insufficient, and that he would only sign off on the
permit because a new permit had already been obtained. Mike clearly intended for the second permit, E2001-148,to
include resolving issues left over from the previous repair. The 220V supply to the top story stove was probably the
most dangerous circuit remaining after Inhouse Electrical Services completed their work. The wire had two or three
inline splices (without jboxes) between the breaker panel and the stove outlet. As the building is a single-family
residence, not a duplex, I removed the upstairs stove circuit entirely, in addition to satisfying Mike's other objections to
the work done by Inhouse Electrical Services under that first permit. In the end, Mike inspected and signed off on the
entire electrical system after all of the repairs were completed, including the removal of the 220V circuit.
Please bear in mind that we never attempted to convert this single family residence into a duplex. All of the top story
fixtures were already in place more than ten years ago, as you can see by the attached NWMLS listing. Please arrange to
change the status of this property back to single family residence,so that Laura can sell the property.
1 5
