ADDENDUM #1 INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF EVERETT AND EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS CONCERNING THE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM THIS ADDENDUM is between the City of Everett (the "City") and Everett Public Schools (the "District"). This Addendum is dated for reference purposes July 1, 2022. RECITALS A. The City and the District are parties to the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement between the City of Everett and Everett Public Schools Concerning the School Resource Officer Program dated on or about September 8, 2021 (the"Agreement"). B. Under Section 2 of the ILA,the District may extend the ILA: The term of this Agreement may be extended for up to two (2) additional one(1) year terms (through August 31, 2024)by written notice from the District to the City. Prior to providing written notice of an extension, in compliance with RCW 28A.32o as applicable to SROs and as amended by Engrossed Substitute House Bill 1214,the District must review and adopt the extension of the agreement, as described in Section 1.G [of the ILA]. C. The District has completed any necessary review and adoption of an extension of the Agreement. The District has determined to extend the Agreement for the 2022-2023 school year. The purpose of this Addendum is to formalize that extension. This Addendum does not amend the Agreement.
